Palin in Georgia Today

Florida Gulf Coast University has backed off of their ban of Christmas decorations, citing overwhelming negative response.

Here's a tip for you business owners out there:  68% of American adults prefer stores that show "Merry Christmas" signs to those that say "Happy Holidays."

The early data is in, and Black Friday was better than most expected.

The UAW's President is begging for the Big Three to get a bailout.  Remember, this is really just a bailout of the UAW.

The Pentagon is planning to have up to 20,000 American troops inside the United States by 2011 to assist local law enforcement.

Obama has named his national security team, including Hillary Clinton at Secretary of State, but the other notable item is that the UN Ambassador will be a Cabinet-level position again.  That's pushing into Hillary's territory, isn't it Barack?

There is one minor problem with Hillary Clinton being appointed Secretary of State:  it's unconstitutional.  There is a fix for the constitutional problem that has been used before, but this could be an early test of whether Obama cares about what is specifically stated in the Constitution.

Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert wants allow Americans to keep their federal taxes for the first two months of next year as a stimulus package.

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford asks what's next for the Republican Party.

International environmentalists want a new international court to enforce environmental treaties.  Who do you think would be hauled in front of this court first?  Somehow I doubt it's the hypocrites who are trying to create the radical environmentalist policies while "creating" 13,000 tons of CO2.

The Iraqi government says that $80 a barrel is a "reasonable" price for oil.  Why didn't we put a provision in their constitution saying that they couldn't join OPEC?  Also, the Saudi King says $75 a barrel is what they consider a "fair" price, but OPEC won't cut output yet.

Gas stations are making larger profits with lower gas prices than they were when prices were higher.  Obviously they're price gouging.

It's World AIDS Day, which means the income redistributors are going to be preaching how bad AIDS is, especially in Africa.  Some people are finally standing up and pointing out that there is no world AIDS crisis.  Take a look, for example, at how the World Health Organization defines an AIDS diagnosis.

The left is already angry with Barack Obama, saying that he's not looking liberal enough.

The Footstool, Jim Martin, campaigned in Macon on Saturday in front of a closed tobacco plant to blame "Saxby Economics" for the closing.  I think Martin and the Democrats would sell their souls for this Senate seat.

Here's an idea:  merge historically black colleges with nearby majority-white schools to save money.  My guess is that the race hustlers will never go for it.

Sarah Palin is in Georgia today in advance of tomorrow's Senate runoff, but the center doesn't seem to like her very much.  That makes me like her even more.
