McCain: "Nothing to Fear" From Obama

John McCain is starting today with a new speech in an attempt to come back and fight against Obama and the Democrats.  They're calling it "hitting the reset button," but it won't change the national dialogue enough to matter.  William Kristol says that McCain's best chance would be to fire his whole dysfunctional campaign.  Really, McCain's only chance is to attack Obama for his liberalism, using his associations and alliances through the years (Ayres, Wright, Rezko, Dohrn) as evidence.  McCain could even turn to the work of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which seeks to turn schoolchildren into left-wing "social justice" activists.

I know at least one thing:  if McCain doesn't stop telling people that they have nothing to fear from an Obama Presidency, he won't stand a chance.  Especially since the drop in the markets are due to a fear of socialism, according to Investor's Business Daily.  Why be afraid of that?  We know that the quasi-socialist New Deal extended the Great Depression by 7 years, and that it was government regulation and control that caused the economic mess to begin with.

The New York Times' Frank Rich comes just short of saying that a right-wing nut job will kill Barack Obama before the election.

Conservative columnists are already pondering the repercussions of an Obama Presidency.  Chuck Muth points out the silver linings, while Michael Barone looks at the demolition of free speech under Obama.  Democrats are already planning their post-election session in Congress to grow government and the welfare state.

Obama has a new answer for the Ayers attack:  he assumed that Ayers had been rehabilitated.  In 1998, Ayers and Dohrn said that they actually wished that they had been more militant.

Joe Biden isn't very happy about the legitimate attacks on Barack Obama.  He's also playing the class warfare card, criticizing companies and individuals for trying to avoid the confiscatory taxes in the United States.

There are 30,000 convicted felons on the voter rolls in Florida.  In other election-theft news, a federal judge in Ohio threw out an order requiring the Ohio Secretary of State to verify all new voter registrations.  In Pennsylvania, a retired Supreme Court Justice says that there probably won't be a fair election this year.  (H/T to RedState.com for both)

Barack Obama may not set preconditions for talks with Iran, but Iran will set preconditions for talks with Barack Obama.

John Lewis took the opportunity this weekend to compare McCain and Palin to George Wallace.  In legitimate racial polling, Obama's race is probably going to help him on Election Day.

Check out the tolerance of liberals in Manhattan, and here's more of the left's tolerance for women.  Warning, both are graphic.

Anything Goes Friday

Here's another case of ACORN voter fraud, this one involving ACORN paying somebody to register to vote 72 times.  Remember, the Obama campaign paid them over $800,000 for "election services."

John McCain might finally be getting it on the economic situation, saying now that he plans to investigate Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.

Louis Farrakhan called Barack Obama the Messiah.

Obama tried to get Iraq to not negotiate with the Bush Administration over a concrete deal for the future of American troops there.

The Obama campaign sent the Secret Service to investigate somebody who was critical of the Messiah.

According to libertarian Steve Chapman, the bailout has failed because it leaves too much uncertainty as to the extent of government involvement in the market.  Meanwhile, the Washington Post is wondering out loud whether this will spell the end of American capitalism.

Republican consultant Christopher Coffey has some advice for how the McCain campaign can still win the election.  It doesn't involve ACORN, Bill Ayres, or Jeremiah Wright.  He wants McCain to talk about the economy, and Chris Cillizza says that's why the Ayres attack won't work.  Meanwhile, Investor's Business Daily points out that Ayres has only changed his tactics, not his radicalism.

The former Comptroller is pointing out the problems the United States faces with entitlement spending.  He's right when he says nobody will bail us out; nobody will be able to bail us out.

As the only local radio personality there, I will talk today about last night's Senate and Congressional debates.

Obama Was a Member of Socialist New Party

Democrat strategists are starting to think that the Presidential election will be a landslide, unless there is a terrorist attack.  Jonathan Martin at Politico says that McCain is in a no-win situation; he'll be accused of being a racist if he does what he needs to do to win, and that is attack him on his associations.

Even Barack Obama was surprised that John McCain didn't attack him on his association with unrepentant Marxist terrorist Bill Ayres.  The thing is, McCain doesn't have to attach Obama to the terrorist Ayres; he only has to attach Obama to the radical socialist education agenda that Ayres and Obama were pushing together.  The New York Times is trying their best to clear Obama for his connection to Ayres, but it's not going to stop us in the alternative media.

Now evidence has surfaced that Barack Obama was a member of the socialist New Party in Chicago early in his political career.  Do you think the uppity mainstream media will report this the way that they reported (with less evidence) Todd Palin's alleged membership in the Alaska Independence Party?

The Sheriff of Cook County, Illinois (that's Chicago) will not evict people living in foreclosed homes.

A group of left-wing activists in Illinois tried to survive on $25 for food a week, which is what food stamp recipients get.  Of course the point of this is to try to get more money for food stamp recipients.

Speaking of left-wing activists, ACORN is being caught on more and more charges of voter fraud across the country, especially in Ohio, where they hounded people to fill out voter registration cards even if they were already registered, then claimed that they have no way to not commit voter fraud.  In Indianapolis, they've even achieved the goal of getting 105% of the city registered to vote.

If you want a look into the liberal mind, here's a list of things that liberals wish they could say in public.  Now imagine these people in control of the White House and the US House with a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.

Uh-oh, oil prices are getting too low.  OPEC is considering an emergency meeting to try to line their own pockets.

With the passage of the bailout bill last week, the Bush Administration is now considering taking ownership stakes in some banks.

Liberals don't understand guns.  Is it any surprise that the NRA didn't endorse Obama?

Most. Boring. Debate. Ever.

Mercer University Professor Dr. Greg Domin will join us in studio today to discuss last night's debate.

John McCain missed a huge opportunity in last night's debate.  He had the chance to attack, to rightly place the blame on Barack Obama and the Democrats for the financial mess, and he passed on that chance.  Only two things came from last night:  "that one" and McCain announced a new plan for the government to buy mortgages.  Now I would say that it is Obama's to lose, especially with Obama spending a lot more money on media buys.

How's this for a line?  "McCain wants to turn the GOP into the Stupid Party."

By the way, that was the most boring debate I've ever seen.  Even the Drudge Report uses the headline "Boring" to link to the AP story about it.

Some black Congressmen are now calling Sarah Palin a racist over her criticism of Barack Obama.

Some in the alternative media have been upset over NBC pulling an SNL skit from YouTube that was critical of the Democrats.  You can read about that here.  I think if they hadn't have used real names there never would have been a problem.

Stanley Kurtz has another column today detailing the activities of Barack Obama's ACORN group that caused the financial meltdown.  Thanks to Barney Frank and Maxine Waters, ACORN has a role to play in the bailout too.

At least one analyst thinks that we may see oil at $40 a barrel again soon.

Second Presidential Debate Tonight

Yesterday was the last day that people could register and vote on the same day in Ohio.  It's a good thing, considering who is voting.

Finally John McCain is attacking Obama on the Democrats' role in the subprime mortgage mess.

Republican strategists are recommending that McCain continue to attack Obama hard tonight, especially on his tax policies.

Given the attacks and the performance of Sarah Palin last week, is it any surprise that the polls are getting closer?

John Kass in the Chicago Tribune chronicles Barack Obama's connections with the Chicago Political Machine.

According to Barney Frank, the only reason to criticize people for borrowing more money than they could afford to pay back is because you're a racist.  Remember, this is the guy who was (literally) in bed with Fannie Mae while they were engaging in fraudulent bookkeeping.

More bogus donors to the Obama campaign have surfaced.

Liberals are proud of the fact that conservatives have abandoned the free market.  Republicans in Washington just got drunk on power.

Private medical clinics in Canada are giving fits to the government-run system, with some saying that they take away from the government health care system.

The Media Research Center is having a media bias tournament, the "Sweet-on-Obama Sixteen" tournament.  Go vote for your favorite case of media bias.

A local office for House Minority Leader John Boehner had to be evacuated yesterday due to a package of bacon from Georgia.

Over half of all voters would replace the entire Congress, according to a new Rasmussen poll.  Unfortunately, most of them won't apply the same standard to their own member of Congress.

With the new conservative movie "An American Carol" out in theaters, the director says that being a Republican is "the new gay," as in you have to hide it in public.  To show how far the left will go to try to hurt the film and criticism of their leftist ideas, some theaters are being investigated for crediting ticket sales from "An American Carol" to other movies.

Palin On Attack!

The Presidential campaign is starting to get really ugly going both ways, with Sarah Palin finally being set loose to attack Barack Obama.  First, she said that Obama's comments on the war disqualify him to be commander in chief.  Then she accused him (rightly) of "palling around with terrorists", referring to avowed socialist terrorist William Ayers.  The Associated Press responded by saying that Palin's comment was about race (which Palin responded to negatively), and CNN's "fact checker" called the statement false, ignoring most of the evidence.  Then the New York Times described Obama and Ayres as having "crossed paths" as if they weren't working together and appearing in public together.  Palin also attacked Rev. Jeremiah Wright and expressed her interest in going after that association.  In the words of ABC's Jake Tapper, the McCain campaign is about to "open up a can of whoop-ass" on Obama.

In response, Obama plans to hit McCain on the Keating Five scandal in the late 1980s and call McCain "erratic in crisis" over the economy.  I'm sure McCain is so scared.

The other scandal to break over the weekend is that of Obama's illegal donors, like "Good Will" and "Doodad Pro."  The RNC is going to file a complaint asking the FEC to look into Obama's donors.

Here's something for the Republicans to look into:  Obama wrote a letter to the Bush Administration trying to get a grant for a project of one of his donors.

While the mainstream media is sticking up for Obama, the Huffington Post's Jane Smiley is attacking McCain, comparing him to William Ayres.

With less than a month until the election, expect rampant voter fraud, especially in swing states, thanks to community organizer groups like Obama's buddies at ACORN.

The VP debate Thursday night was the most-watched VP debate ever, with over 70 million people tuning in.

In the wake of the socialist bailout passed Friday, we find out that economic recovery depends more on the housing market than it did on the bailout plan.  Remember, the bailout plan was something pulled out of thin air to give Paulson more power and passed without any hearings on what caused the financial problems to begin with.

Only the Washington Times could get away with giving blame to individuals for the financial mess.

We also finally have an answer as to why McCain is going so easy on Fannie Mae and the Community Reinvestment Act.  It's all about race, and the fact that they don't think he's smart enough to articulate it well.  There is a similar reason why almost nobody is bringing up the fact that Barney Frank was (literally) in bed with Fannie Mae.  It's because he's gay.

Friday From The Fair!

Wachovia decided to sell to Wells Fargo instead of Citigroup, because the Wells Fargo deal will not require government support.

The state of California is looking to get a $7 billion loan from the federal government to avoid bankruptcy.  I say let them go broke.

Of course we will discuss last night's vice presidential debate during the show.  I may be alone in this, but I thought it was largely a draw.  Most people thought Sarah Palin ran away with it.  Joe Biden did do a good job of tying McCain to Bush, while Palin did a good job of connecting with average voters.  The McCain camp is circulating a list of 14 lies from Biden last night.

Regardless of how the debate went last night, it isn't enough.  Yesterday McCain pulled out of Michigan.  He's finished.  He can't get his base in line, because his party has become a bunch of fake conservatives who refuse to take on the left.  It's the Republicans who have given away the base.  Real conservatives don't have a home anymore.  Of course, it is October, and there are always surprises in October.

The bailout bill goes back to the House today.  They will not be able to make amendments to the bill, including cutting the ridiculous amount of pork in the bill meant to buy votes.  They even managed to sneak some environmentalism into the bill.  This thing is on its way to passage, and future generations of Americans are going to pay for it.

Here's Jim Marshall's TV ad about his vote for the bailout bill.

The CEO of Ford says that the bailout of the US automakers is not a bailout, it's just money they need to adapt to environmental regulations.

While academics are debating whether or not Sarah Palin is really a woman, the Huffington Post is more concerned about whether or not Sarah Palin's lipliner is a tattoo.

Senate Passes Bailout

It really was panic, stoked by the mainstream media and those Congress-critters in Washington, that caused Wachovia to have to be bought out this week.  By the way, UBS is predicting a profit this quarter.

Rick Goddard is on the stump criticizing Jim Marshall for his vote for the bailout bill in the House, which is causing a back-and-forth in the media.

John McCain admits that he wishes that Gwen Ifill wasn't the moderator of tonight's debate, considering she's writing a pro-Obama book.  I don't think it matters what happens tonight; McCain lost all credibility with his vote for the bailout last night, and Obama is booming in the big swing states.  Obama is also being helped by voter fraud in Ohio, registering homeless people to vote with no proof of residency.  They are, of course, supporting Obama because he does his "thug thizzle."

Liberals in Colorado are working on an "educate the idiots" campaign to turn out more of their voters.  Wouldn't educating them hurt the liberal Democrats?

Here's a column about the community organizer groups that are largely responsible for the mortgage mess.

The bailout bill passed the Senate last night 74-25.  Both of our Senators from Georgia voted in favor of the pork-laden monstrosity, with Saxby playing the "necessary" card.  Our neighbors to the west, Alabama, had two 'no' votes on the bill, including Sen. Richard Shelby, who accused the Senate of panicking.  Before the vote yesterday, though, Harry Reid was trying to create a panic by claiming publicly that another very large insurance company was going out of business.  The bill now goes to the House, where it will probably pass.  By the way, the stock market is down today.

The left is in a tizzy because Sarah Palin didn't specify where she gets her news.  I think she was just being the smartest person in the room (something to expect tonight as well).

A tractor-trailer crash on I-75 turned into a barbecue early this morning.

McCain Finished

John McCain is supporting the bailout—excuse me, "rescue"—plan that they will vote on in the Senate today.  Stick a fork in him, he's done.  The bill that John McCain plans to vote for has more than just the bailout in it.

Thomas Sowell weighs in on the bailout, pointing out that the same people who caused the problem are now trying to come up with a government "solution."

At least one group of people have nothing to worry about—federal bureaucrats are going to get a 3.9% pay increase next year.

Gwen Ifill, who is supposed to be the moderator for tomorrow night's Vice Presidential debate, is writing a pro-Obama book to be released on Inauguration Day next year.  The McCain people didn't know about the book until yesterday, but they should have known about Ifill's history as a liberal race-baiter.

Members of the uppity media are starting to admit that their colleagues are in the tank for Obama.

Now the media is trying to scare you out of voting for John McCain, saying he has a one-in-four chance of dying in office.

Yesterday I played you the audio of the kids singing for Obama, and I compared it to North Korean propaganda films.  Erick Erickson at RedState.com tracked down some North Korean propaganda for comparison.

Bailout Fails; Reaction Today

Democrats are trying to blame Republicans for killing the bailout.  Most of the vulnerable members voted against it because they knew that you didn't want it.  Even though the left is trying their best to pin the blame on the Republicans, if you look at the Democrats' own ranks, they should have passed it without any Republicans.  Here's the roll call vote from yesterday, and how the Georgia delegation voted.  Note that our own Jim Marshall voted for it, saying that he was willing to give up his seat for it.

John McCain said today that the Treasury Department could go ahead with a bailout without Congressional approval.  McCain was already hurting in the polls from the bailout failure.  Does he even care about winning this election anymore?

Here's a column from a libertarian Harvard economist who says that the failing financial institutions should be allowed to go bankrupt.

A Canadian libertarian says that the bailout bill was the comeback of Karl Marx.  With Democrats in existence, I didn't think he needed a comeback.

You can all relax; there will not be a Great Depression over this.

Barack Obama weighed in on the causes of the financial situation.  Any guesses as to who he blames for the problems?  He used the same talking points to attack John McCain.

Here is more information on some of Obama's buddies on the far left, including how ACORN is partially responsible for the housing situation.

Many conservatives, me included, have been frustrated by the lack of exposure of Sarah Palin to the alternative media.

Post-Debate Analysis today

Barack Obama is squashing free speech again, in both Pennsylvania and Missouri.  First, in Pennsylvania, his lawyers are going after an NRA ad criticizing Obama by threatening FCC retaliation against TV stations that air the ad.  In Missouri, he has a "truth squad" of lawyers and law enforcement officials to bully critics, prompting a backlash from the Republican Governor there.

You think the mainstream media isn't in the tank for Obama?  They were having an Obama-gasm over seeing him in a wet shirt.

Do you want to know what caused the economic mess?  Watch this video.  It's a summary of what I've been saying all along.

There's a bailout bill going to the House.  It's a lot longer than the original length proposed by the Administration.  Mike Pence, Jeb Hensarling and other House Conservatives are opposed to the bailout.  Just wait until you find out how they came up with that $700 billion number.

The Senate passed a bill that will give $25 billion in loans to the auto industry.

We'll have some analysis of Friday's debate on the show today, including a call from Dr. Greg Domin from Mercer University.  CNN has a biased poll that points towards an Obama victory, but we'll discuss that and other matters on the program today.

One of the more memorable moments of the debate came from Obama's "I have a bracelet, too" story.  Unfortunately for the Messiah, the family has asked that he stop wearing the bracelet.

There are projected to be two more weeks of gas shortages in the Southeast.  Governor Perdue, meanwhile, is making a trip through Europe to escape criticism since he waited a week after other states to request an EPA waiver.

Here's another one of those columns that says if Obama loses, it's because of racism.  Just for the record, the definition of uppity is "putting on or marked by airs of superiority."  The Obama campaign isn't worried; they think Obama will win by a landslide.

Get-out-the-vote advocates are targeting foreclosed homeowners.  I guarantee they'll all vote Democrat.

McCain to Attend Debate

There still hasn't been a deal on the bailout package, and the meeting at the White House yesterday appears to have blown up.  The part that sickens me is that Henry Paulson actually got down on one knee to beg Nancy Pelosi to not kill the proposal.  Meanwhile, conservatives in the House are floating an alternative approach to just bailing everybody out.  Members of Congress are reporting that calls to their offices are receiving calls opposed to the bailout by 100:1 (hat tip to Dr. Greg Domin).

Here's an explanation of the mortgage issue, with stick figures!

Thanks to Newsbusters, the New York Times knew this was coming in 1999.

Democrats are now looking for another $56 billion, this time for another economic stimulus package.

John McCain will attend tonight's debate.  That's the smartest thing for him to do, especially since it's becoming apparent that McCain isn't doing anything to help on the finance bailout bill.

John Zogby is predicting a landslide for John McCain.

Bill Clinton is trying his best to make sure that he doesn't get any of the blame for the financial situation.

Harry Reid is trying to quietly and secretly reinstate the oil shale ban.

House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey rammed through a $1 trillion stopgap spending measure before the September 30 budget deadline.  Wait until you hear what he had to say about how the funding bill was made.

An earmark that then-State Senator Barack Obama requested is now under investigation by the state of Illinois.  You probably won't hear about this in the mainstream media.

An unappreciative piece of liberal scum vandalized the Jeep of an Army Reserves sergeant at Dallas Baptist University, spraypainting "soldiers are murderers" across the hood and slashing the tires and seats.  If they catch the person who did it, I hope they kick the crap out of this waste of oxygen, make them pay for the repairs, and send them to Club Gitmo to meet the people that this hero was protecting us from.

A group of left-wing PACs is preparing an attack ad on John McCain about his health.

Here's a line that should bring chills to your spine:  "Voters cannot distinguish between Congress and state officials."

McCain suspends campaign

John McCain yesterday decided to suspend his campaign to go back to Washington to participate in the bailout debate.  He's also asking for the first Presidential debate, on Friday, to be postponed until Congress passes something (Barr and McKinney have stepped up, willing to take McCain's place).  He even took his ads off of television.  I'm still trying to figure out whether McCain is genuine or whether this is just a campaign stunt, but either way it's going to backfire on him.  By the way, Obama has not only refused to postpone the debate, but he's still playing the class warfare card.

From class warfare to race warfare:  A Democrat state representative in Ohio says that the only reason Obama won't get votes in the rural parts of Ohio is because voters are racist.  Meanwhile, Alcee Hastings played on racial fears for both blacks and Jews.

In response to the bailout, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman wants all government-backed construction to be "green."

Al Gore is calling for environmentalist wackos to sit in trees or something to stop the construction of coal plants.

The Democrats are already working on getting the offshore drilling ban renewed next year.

Governor Perdue says that the gas panic is "self-induced."  He's right, it's induced by his self.

Here's the full text of President Bush's speech to the nation last night about the economic situation.  I think it was one of the better speeches he's ever given, but I still disagree with him on some of it.  He was also not willing to place blame where it is due:  on the government.

Even the New York Times' crossword puzzle is biased towards the Democrats.

Biden steps in it again

Here's a shocker:  environmentalists are the most likely to travel long distances more often, contributing to "global warming."  All you needed for proof of this was Al Gore—he travels enough to compensate for a few dozen average Americans.  In other news, Bette Midler decided to stop touring in order to help protect the environment.  Yeah, that's why.

The sun has cooled down a bit, but somehow that isn't linked to "climate change."

Democrats have finally conceded defeat in the battle over offshore oil drilling.  They are not going to renew the offshore oil drilling ban.

The FBI is looking at Fannie, Freddie, Lehman Bros, and AIG in a new fraud probe.  The Democrats are doing their best to make sure that they don't catch any of the blame for the problem.

This bailout bill is meeting quite a bit of resistance on Capitol Hill, especially from Republicans.  They couldn't even be turned by Dick Cheney.  By the way, here's the full text of the bailout bill as it exists now.

Ed Feulner has an idea for a free-market fix for the economy.

Terrence Jeffrey has a brilliant column today on the mortgage mess and class warfare.

A CNN poll says that the Republican Party is taking most of the blame for the economy, with Barack Obama gaining in the polls as a result.  It just shows how intellectually challenged the average American voter is, even though currently they are opposing the bailout plan.

Here's another article on Bill Ayres, this one about his foray into education.

We've got another example of a Biden screw-up.  Biden told CBS Evening News that FDR got on television after the stock market crash.  Despite this latest in a string of Biden mistakes, Obama continues to stand by him.

Biden wasn't done yet, although this is more a moment of honesty than a screw-up.  Last night he told a group of trial lawyers that they are a key part of the Democrat Party.

Conservative Opposition to Bailout Grows

Joe Biden criticized his own campaign for an attack ad on McCain painting him as computer illiterate.  He also said that he wants "no coal plants here in America," against the campaign platform.  We're getting more than one of these kinds of mistakes a week now.  Just wait until he has more opportunities to step in it at the debate.

As tight as the Presidential race is this year, some pundits are already wondering if there might be a tie in the Electoral College.  This could be interesting.

Conservative columnist George Will wonders whether John McCain is fit to be President.

An 11-year-old government school student was suspended for wearing an anti-Obama t-shirt to school.

Democrats have added other forms of debt to the massive bailout bill.

The House Republican Study Committee has proposed a free market alternative to the massive buyout plan coming from the Treasury Department.  Compare that to Obama's plan.

Ron Paul opposes the bailout, saying that it will make matters even worse.  Radley Balko says that it is a move away from capitalism.

Hillary wants a Great Depression-era government entity to deal with the mortgage issue.

This bailout mess is bringing some scrutiny to the Carter-era Community Reinvestment Act and the Democrats' role in the financial mess.

The bailout, if it passes, will also put a cramp into the campaign promises of both candidates because there won't be any money left for them.

Stanley Kurtz finally managed to get into the records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, and he found that Barack Obama has been participating in the radicalization of education in Chicago along with his buddy Bill Ayres.

The McCain campaign is finally starting to push back against attacks from the mainstream media, starting with the New York Times.  The Times had published a story in an attempt to get something to stick to McCain about one of his advisors working for Fannie and Freddie.  The New York Times conveniently ignored the fact that Barack Obama received the second most money from Fannie and Freddie in the last two decades.

Gas stations running out of gas? Thanks Sonny!

The Bush administration is proposing a $700 billion bailout plan that would also increase the government's borrowing limit.  It might include a bailout of some foreign banks.  Fortunately, at least one conservative, Congressman Mike Pence, is publicly opposing the bailouts.

With the bailout plans, Mark Skousen wonders whether we're headed towards a collectivist state.  Even Time Magazine calls us the "United States of France."  Investors Business Daily says that Congress is trying its best to avoid the blame, even though they are the ones who caused this mess.

Now the media has come up with an excuse just in case Obama loses:  1/3 of Democrats are racist.  If you spin responses the right way, anybody can be a racist.

Charles Rangel is stepping in it again, this time by calling Sarah Palin "disabled."  That's a smart move, considering you're in so much trouble yourself.

Remember Hillary dropping out of the pro-Israel demonstration against "Crazy" Mahmoud?  Now, thanks to Democrats threatening to sic the IRS on the group sponsoring the rally, Sarah Palin won't be attending either.

Despite Barack Obama supposedly supporting "equal pay for equal work," he only pays his female Senate staffers 78% of what he pays his male staffers.

Conservatives in the Senate are promising to kill any energy bill that bans drilling within 50 miles of shore.  Fortunately they won't have any opposition from the turncoat twins, Senator Saxby and Brother Johnny, because the "Gang of 20" won't introduce their bill.  By the way, people are finally starting to figure out that corn ethanol isn't going to solve anything.

Thanks to Sonny's "price gouging" ban, some gas pumps in the Atlanta area are out of gas.  Jason Pye at PeachPundit says that it's partially due to the environmental blend required in Atlanta.  The shortages have now spread to Middle Georgia.

The Executive Director of CAIR said something that really shows the group's colors:  "…we should not blame the United States alone for the 11 September 2001 attacks…"

The Southern Baptist Convention is getting bent out of shape over female pastors appearing on the cover of "Gospel Today" magazine.  They're not upset about them being on the cover; they're upset that women are pastors.

There's more discussion of the possibility of Obama dumping Biden in favor of Hillary.  I'm telling you folks, it won't happen, if for no other reason just because of early voting.  Up to a third of voters could cast their ballots before Election Day.

We're going to have a discussion of Macon's gang problem today, considering the recent shootings and the story from the Macon Telegraph telling us what many of us already knew, that people in Macon think the problem is worse than police think it is.

A government high school student in California was forced to remove his t-shirt with an American flag on it because it violated the school's dress code that forbids "shirts/blouses that promote specific races, cultures, or ethnicities."

An Illinois woman has been charged with public indecency for bartending naked.

Thanks to tramp stamps, tattoo removal is on the rise in Germany.
