Obama: Iran Has a Right to Nukes

Today's must-read of the day:  How GM Lost Its Way.

President Obama says that Iran has a right to pursue nuclear power, as long as they show that it is peaceful.  Trust, but don't verify.  Iranian diplomats will be invited to Independence Day parties.  I'm sure they'll start to love us after that.

The Senate today passed a cloture motion on a bill to give the FDA regulatory control over tobacco.  Both Chambliss and Isakson voted for cloture.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney supports gay marriage, but only when that decision is made by states, not the federal government.

The biggest winner from the GM and Chrysler bankruptcies could be Ford, as some warn that customers may stay away from a nationalized GM.

Here's what to expect from Government Motors.  Already they are selling Hummer, probably to a Chinese company.  They are also offering incentive packages to get workers to leave the company.  Already the Obama Administration is deciding where GM's headquarters will be.

Remember the MexiFlu?  The WHO is considering raising their pandemic alert to its highest level.

The guy who wounded one soldier and killed another at a recruiting center in Arkansas was a Muslim who converted to Islam in prison.  There has been no response by President Obama.

Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor tried to explain her racist statement that a Latina woman would make a better decision than a white male, and still no questions were answered.  Sotomayor also wants to allow felons to vote.  Here are Obama's words about why he voted against Chief Justice John Roberts, and his words critical of black conservative judge Janice Rogers Brown.

A majority of Americans fear that government will do too much to "help" the economy.

The real cost of ethanol.

The economy improved in the first quarter, no thanks to the "stimulus" package.

Most Americans oppose closing the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Here's a look at President Obama's socialized health care scheme.

I love this:  Why are conservatives so mean?

Colorado State hurricane forecasters are predicting a slow hurricane season in part because water temperatures are cooler.  Global warming?

The White House will not say how much the Obamas' trip to New York City cost.

The Obama Administration is warning that the trust fund to build highways will go broke in August.  With all that stimulus money, how is that possible?

OPEC now wants to see oil at $90 per barrel.

Tax Cheat Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner went to China to tell them that their investments in America are safe, and the students in his audience laughed at him.

Doctors are now warning people of "cell phone elbow."  How wimpy have Americans become?

Secretary of State Karen Handel is considering suing the Justice Department over Georgia's process for screening registered voters for eligibility.

More stupidity from Macon:  Mayor Robert Reichert announced that a factory, and the 880 jobs that came with it, would be coming to Macon.  Instead, the plant will be in Columbus.  The company's headquarters will be moving to Duluth from Ohio.  The state spent $60 million to lure NCR.

Tomorrow could be the day that Roy Barnes finally announces whether or not he will be joining the race for Governor.

InsiderAdvantage Georgia says that it is possible that the negative stories about John "the fascist" Oxendine are only helping him by giving him name recognition.
