Will: Give Up In Afghanistan

I'll play this on the show today:  The Government Can.

Car dealers are still waiting on their money from the cash-for-clunkers program.  In fact, the federal government still owes car dealers a total of nearly $2.9 billion.

Britain is facing the possibility of blackouts because of their insistence on using "green" energy.  Environmentalists won't stop until we're all living in caves like al-Qaida.

Some Americans are moving to Mexico to take advantage of their cheap socialist healthcare program.  Can we keep those parasites on that side of the border?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that Ted Kennedy's death is going to help them pass the nationalization of health care.

The Republican candidate for Governor in Virginia criticized "cohabitators, homosexuals, and fornicators" in his college thesis and described it as a "road map" for conservative governance.  This is my problem with so many Republicans.

Democrats still have nearly a 5-point advantage in self-claimed party affiliation.  This might have something to do with the fact that a majority of Republican voters think that Congressional Republicans are more liberal than they are.

George Will says that it's time for the United States to accept defeat in Afghanistan and I suppose allow it to once again become a playground for Islamic terrorists.  While the Obama administration is looking at recommendations for more troops, they're also catching hell from their far-left moonbat peace-at-any-price base for not withdrawing by now.

Some companies are going to give up on the United Kingdom because of the tax and regulatory burden.  The United States should be positioning itself to be an attractive destination for those businesses, but instead we're becoming more anti-business.

Alan Caruba takes a Constitutional look at Obama's czars.

President Obama has cut the amount of pay increase for federal employees.  Now they'll only get a 2% automatic raise next year.

Liberal MSNBC host (excuse the redundancy) Rachel Maddow loves guns; she just doesn't believe people should be allowed to take them home.

Oops:  Bank of America demanded a thumbprint from a guy with no hands.

Qualification has begun for elections in Houston and Peach Counties.

There may be a deal coming on transportation.
