Obama to Get Supreme Court Appointment

Supreme Court Justice David Souter will retire at the end of this court term, which will give President Obama a chance to nominate a replacement.  This could get very interesting, especially given what Obama has said in the past about his views on the Supreme Court.

Democrat Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky not only admits that the Obama health care plan will destroy the private health insurance industry, she celebrates that fact.  Already government-run health care made almost $19 billion in improper payments last year.  Just wait until that's the only option.

The so-called "tax cut" in the so-called "stimulus" package is going to leave a lot of people with some nasty surprises when they file their taxes next year when they might have to pay it back.

College students suddenly want to be community organizers to emulate Barry, and more of them want to work for the federal government.  This is proof that we need to stop paying government employees more than private sector employees.

A Congressional subcommittee is looking into the BCS.  Apparently they don't have anything better to do.

Michelle Obama wears $540 sneakers.

ABC News has outed the guys who created the CIA's waterboarding and interrogation program.  Will they be treated the same as Scooter Libby was?

Minnesotans don't want to raise taxes, except on corporations and the rich.  It just goes to show the levels of ignorance due to the government education monopoly.

According to the Obama Administration, between 50 and 100 detainees at Guantanamo Bay cannot be released or put on trial.  I have an idea:  leave them at Guantanamo Bay.

Another Democrat admits that cap and trade will probably raise energy prices.

Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama gave the Senate Foreign Relations Committee his solution for piracy:  military escorts and arming some of the civilian crews.

Here is a list of questions about the Chrysler bankruptcy.  We'll ask more questions when Jeff Smith, who owns a Chrysler dealership in Perry, calls in at 4:00.

Tax cheat Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told a group of Democrat Senators that he will not be asking for more bailout money anytime soon.

Barry's press conference had ratings 29% lower than the last one.  I'm not the only one who's sick of these things.

A talk show host in Boston has been suspended because he made insensitive comments about Mexican immigrants with regards to the Mexiflu.

A former chief of the Air Force's combat operations told Congress that the Air Force needs more than double the number of F-22s currently planned.

Congressman Nathan Deal officially joined the race for Governor today.  We will have another candidate, Ray McBerry, on the show at 5:00 today.

The Robins Air Show is this weekend.  I've been looking forward to this for months.
